DEMOCRATS TO MEET IN FALL TO DISCUSS POLICY TOWARD HARDING ADMINISTRATION
Washington, D.C. (JFK+50) On August 5, 1921, the Evening Star reported that DNC chairman George White had "decided to call the democratic national committee together (sometime in the fall) for a general discussion "of the party's policy toward the Harding administration."
The Star speculated that the Democrats preferred to delay the meeting in order to learn what the Republican's new tax bill would look like in regard to tax revision.
The Star further stated that the Democratic plan of attack to date had been one of "passive resistance."
