DISORDERLY SCENES PREVENT CHINESE PARLIAMENT FROM VOTING ON YEN
Peking (JFK+50) On August 6, 1924, The Evening Star reports disorderly scenes taking place on the floor of the Chinese parliament meeting here in Peking.
When a delegate arose to demand the appointment of the oldest member to the chair, an opposition member tossed a chair at him.
Then when another delegate rose to second the motion, an inkstand was thrown at him.
The parliament adjourned without a vote being taken.
