"FARTHEST NORTH AZTEC MARKINGS DISCOVERY"

AZTEC FIGURES DISCOVERED ON ROCK WALL OF EASTERN NEVADA CAVERN

Reno, Nevada (JFK+50) On August 8, 1924, the Associated Press reports an announcement by Dr. R. F. Schappelle, a University of Nevada archeologist, that a "figuring in Aztec characters" has been discovered on "the rock wall of a cavern in Eastern Nevada."

The AP states...

"The tracings are said to be the farthest north Aztec markings have been discovered."

The Aztec figures reportedly resemble those of Egyptian hieroglyphics.

JFK+50 NOTE

Aztec, or Nahuati, script is a pre-Columbian writing system used in central Mexico.  Aztec was pictographic & ideographic proto-writing.
