MRS. WHARTON HAS ADDED 'BLOOD RUBIES' FROM RUSSIAN CROWN JEWELS TO COLLECTION
London, England (JFK+50) On November 29, 1925, The Sunday Star reports that Mrs. David Wharton has "added to her collection a pair of perfectly matched pigeon blood rubies set in earrings" from the former crown jewel trove of Russia."
The collection "was regarded as the unluckiest of all the crown jewels."
Mrs. Wharton, however, says...
"I have had the emerald for two years...so I guess the curse...does not affect me."
